Q&A with Dulce Barrera
What’s your experience/role in the coffee sector?
I’m a cup taster, currently in charge of Quality Control at Bella Vista Coffee.
I’ve participated in three World Cup Tasters Championships as a cup taster. In 2019, I finished in fourth place.
Why did you decide to work with MTPak Coffee?
I was drawn in by MTPak Coffee’s focus on sustainable packaging, their innovative design features, and their range of biodegradable products.
What do you think the modern coffee sector needs to focus on?
I think there needs to be more focus on the environment across every stage of the process, whether it’s in producing, roasting, shipping, or consuming.
Tell us more about how you view coffee packaging, and what you think the sector should be focusing on going forward.
While coffee packaging needs to be environmentally friendly, it should also be simple and affordable for roasters, no matter where they’re located.
