PureLock®
by MTPak Coffee
Protecting the flavour and quality of specialty green coffee
Engineered for Specialty Coffee
PureLock by MTPak Coffee is our new range of green coffee bags. Unlike competitor products, PureLock bags are specifically engineered for specialty coffee, with multilayer high-barrier packaging that maximises the freshness and retains the delicate flavour notes of your coffee.
PureLock bags are made from high-strength recyclable polyethylene. This means they offer leading protection against external contaminants such as light, moisture, and temperature fluctuations, making sure that your green coffee stays fresh from farm to roaster.

Completely customisable
PureLock green coffee bags can be customised to showcase essential information, such as origin, processing methods, and harvesting dates.
Made for specialty green coffee
Our PureLock green coffee bags are engineered especially for specialty-grade green coffee - rather than being a generic commodity agricultural bag.
Designed with coffee farmers in mind
There are several key factors that must be controlled during storage to retain the overall quality of green coffee. Moisture content, for example, is key, with target levels for green coffee between 8 and 12.5%. Water activity, however, is equally important for buyers – and is typically measured on a scale from 0.0 to 1.0 aW.
Green coffee should have a water activity level of around 0.4 to 0.6 aW. Between 0.6 and 0.9 aW, the chance of microbial activity increases, which can lead to the development of mould and fungus in the beans. Additionally, moisture migration between green coffee and the atmosphere is a major cause of quality deterioration. This can lead to the coffee taking on “baggy”, “cereal”, or otherwise stale off-flavours typically associated with past crop.
PureLock multilayer hermetic packaging for green coffee caters to all the requirements that come with storing and transporting your product:
- Maintains moisture content
- Highly resistant to oils and solvents
- Protects quality and inherent flavour and aroma characteristics
- Increases shelf life
- Custom and stock options available
- Easy distribution with various packaging sizes
- Certified sustainable materials

Remove as much air as possible before sealing the bags to ensure the safety and integrity of your product during transportation.
If packed and preserved properly, PureLock bags can preserve green coffee for more than one year.
